Goodbye Tommy

So if you know Thomas, you know that he LOVES his hair. We have affectionatly named it "Tommy". He just can't believe how manageable and perfect it is. If you ask him about it he will tell you too. "If I want to add more volume I just run my fingers through it like this. If I want to style it this way I just do this..." ...and on and on. It started getting longer and longer so he decided he might as well grow it out to donate it to locks of love and share his beautiful hair with others. He fantasized that the Locks of Love people would see his hair and gasp in awe of its beauty. He felt really good about himself in giving this glorious gift to those truly in need of some fabulous hair. However, the longer it has gotten the more in the way it has been for him, and the more I have been bugging him about getting it cut. And so, Tuesday night he bid adieu to his lovely long locks. No Locks of Love, no gift of glory, but no more long hair. Gooooooood-bye Tommy.

One of my favorite things about our new house is our washer and dryer. I can't tell you how nice it has been having my very own washer and dryer, that I don't have to share with a hundred other people, right in my very own living space! For the last 5 1/2 years we have been in an apartment WITHOUT washer/dryer hookups. I didn't know what I was missing until a week ago. Man o man, we are living the life!

1 month Photoshoot

Bella turned 4 weeks/1 month on March 11th. I can't believe it's already been that long and at the same time feel like she has been in our family forever. Happy 1 month birthday! Here are some more pictures of her from a couple weeks to 4 weeks old.

Visitors

My mom is known for coming and staying after the birth of each grandchild and cooking meals, cleaning out cupboards, and helping in any other way needed. Well, she was not able to come because she and my dad are on a mission for our church in the Manchester, England area. Both my mom and I have been very sad to not have her here but we know she is where she needs to be right now. My sisters all felt bad for me =) so some of them came to stay with us during the first few weeks after Bella was born for a couple days at a time. It was so nice to have them and their help. They were all here within the couple weeks before we moved so they were SO very helpfuly in getting us packed and taking care of us.


First, Cindi came with my niece Hannah from San Dimas, California. Cindi and her husband Brian were able to go to Hawaii for a week before Bella came so she got here as soon as she could. She left 6 of her 8 kids at home and came up to see us!


Then, Julie and Lexie came at the last minute from Rexburg, Idaho. The whole family went to a funural in St. George, UT and Julie decided she might as well spend the week in California =). She and her kids drove to Cindi's house and then her and Lexie came up to Fresno while the other 6 out of 8 stayed at Cindi's.


And Finally, Stacey and Heather came to see us from Pleasant Grove, Utah. Heather had a Feis Competition in Thousand Oaks so they were able to come up to Fresno before they had to be there. Heather got into Irish dancing while they lived in Ireland for a couple years. She is awesome!
