We went to the doctor on Tuesday for my weekly checkup and had a pelvic exam. We found out our little Bella has dropped and at +1 station, I am dialated about 1 centimeter (a little less) and have a very soft cervix-squishy to quote my doc (too graphic?). We are excited to be making pogress and a little relieved that there is not too much progress going on after all the contractions I had Sunday morning.
We just bought our very first house and are so excited! It has 3 bedrooms (master bed and bath upstairs), 2 bathrooms, a great room, and a small backyard. It was a foreclosure and so the inside is in pretty bad shape. Very dirty and gross. Thomas has been busy cleaning since last week, when we officially closed escrow, with help from some awesome family members. He wont let me do anything on it and so I have been super worried about him having to do all the work. A very special thank you to all who have been helping him and who will be helping him in the weeks to come. We REALLY appreciate all your hard work! After the cleaning we will paint, get new carpet installed, and then move in. SO exciting!!!! I'll post the before and after pics when we are done. ;)
We went to the doctor Monday for our 35 week appointment. Everything is looking good! We found out our baby girl is estimated to be about 5 pounds 9 ounces. She said to plan on about another pound and a half to two pounds at birth. That means she should be under 8 pounds, YAY! I was getting worried I'd be delivering a 10 pound baby! We'll keep our fingers crossed that the doctor is right! Here is an ultrasound pic:
We were able to see a facial profile on the machine when she printed this out but I can't see it on this. Let me know if you see it! Good thing these doctors and technicians know what they are looking at.
We are still trying to come up with a middle name for our little Bella. Let us know which one you like the best out of the ones we have come up with so far. We are having a hard time agreeing on this. Vote for your favorite(s) on the sidebar to the right.
Our time with our beautiful Christmas tree was short but sweet this year. We bought this 7 1/2 foot tree (yes, its fake, that's the way I like it) for 75% off at the Home Depot after Christmas sale last year. I love it. Unfortunately, it required too much effort to put up anytime before the week before Christmas. To find room for it we had to get rid of the love seat in our extra bedroom, replace it with the love seat from our front room (to answer your question of where our couch is, Jennifer), and then get the very heavy tree (too heavy for me, that is) from storage and set up. All this required Thomas and a furniture moving helper. Thomas had absolutely no time until after finals to do any of this, therefore, we had no tree until the week before Christmas. Since we were at my sisters house for about 5 days before Christmas, we were not able to fully enjoy it this year. Oh well, there's always next year. These pictures are horrible, but you get the idea.

The last couple years we stared doing a progressive dinner with everyone in the Duran fam who is around. This year we started out at our place for appitizers. We had some yummy cheese fondue with lots of veggies and french bread to dip in it. 
Then we went over to samuel's for the main course. Pizza! 
Our last stop was at Marcos and Melody's for dessert. We had pound cake with different jams and sherbets. It was very tasty. Unfortunetly Thomas got sick and we had to leave before we got any pics. Bummer. It was a fun night!
Every year the Boggs side of the family gets together the Saturday morning before Christmas for the Boggs Christmas Breakfast (BCB). We weren't there long this year but it was fun to see everyone for a while.
We spent the few days before Christmas at my sister Cindi's house in L.A. (San Dimas to be exact). My other sister, Michelle, and her family came down from Utah for the same few days that Thomas and I were there. We had a great time! Some of the highlights of the trip were 1) Going to a fun concert that my teenage niece and nephews were in. It was very entertaining to watch :) They did great. 2) Going to the Newport Christmas Parade. It was the 100th anniversary of this parade and it was awesome! We were laughing about the difference between the Clovis Christmas parade and the Newport Christmas parade. One decks out trucks and parades them down several streets and one decks out big fancy yachts and parades them through several harbors. 3) Bowling with Cindi and the kids. I won. Why did we not take a picture of the scores? It was like the first time ever to win at bowling! Gotta love those bumpers. 4) Being with our family. 5) Breaking down 2 times on the way home. Ok, so maybe not so much of a highlight...we'll call it a "low-light".
