Salt Lake

After Lindsay's Wedding we drove the rest of the way to Utah to spend Thanksgiving with my family.  We were all able to be there (except for my niece Lexi who is going to school at BYU-H and my nephew Johnny who is on a church mission to Minnesota) for some exciting events.  While there, Thomas and I went with my mom and dad to temple square.  This was the afternoon/evening before Thanksgiving and the day after a big storm.  Temple Square was very empty and half shut down...not to mention it was super cold- about 15 degrees. Yikes!  We did get to go into a few buildings and enjoyed the beautiful temple grounds and all the Christmas decor.

The Conference Center was closed along with several other buildings.

We also went on the tour at Welfare Square with the Watkins (sorry no pictures).  It was really interesting!  None of us had ever seen it before.  We ended the tour at the dairy where my brother works and got samples of cheese, PBJs, and the best chocolate milk ever (mmmm...so creamy!) -all made by the church.
